Return or Exchange

You didn't love your purchase from State of Lovely? We want you to be happy; so let's figure it out!

You have 72 from the date of receipt to process a return. Please send an email to with any questions about the process and to notify us that you will be returning an item. After the time period noted above, we are unable to accept a return for a refund. We will issue a store credit if return product conditions are met. Once you have notified S|L of the return, the item must be shipped back within 7 days. If for some reason it will take longer for the item to be returned due to shipping delays or location, please reach out to us!

A new collection is posted each month. It's likely another buyer is on the waiting list for this particular item! So time is of the essence, folks!

You are responsible for the cost of shipping to return the item. The returned item must be received in original condition, unworn, unaltered and undamaged. We reserve the right to refuse any return if those conditions are not met.

When returning an item, please place the invoice inside the bag along with a note as to why you are returning the item. If within the approved timeframe and return conditions are met, you will receive a full refund (minus original shipping cost which will not be refunded). Buyer is responsible for shipping costs.

If you would like to exchange an item, just let me know! Send an email to to notify us and follow the return directions above. Complete a new purchase for the preferred item/size. S|L will issue a refund based on the conditions above.
